Nicola Tallis – Educational Psychologist
I am an experienced Educational Psychologist with 20 years of expertise, currently serving as a Senior Educational Psychologist for a Local Authority and in private practice. I specialize in supporting neurodiversity in schools, working extensively with students with a variety of needs. I have a particular interest in helping students with emotionally based school non-attendance, offering tailored strategies to help them re-engage in their education and find the right school placement.
I am recognised for my holistic assessment approach, which includes a thorough understanding of a student’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses and an evaluation of any underlying emotional and mental health needs. I work closely with families and schools to ensure a collaborative approach that fosters each student’s success.
With extensive experience in tribunal casework, I have a strong track record representing both local authorities and families. My approach is rooted in empathy, evidence-based practices, and a dedication to providing every child with the support they need to succeed in their educational journey.
