Dr Michelle Potts – Chartered Psychologist & Practitioner Clinical Psychologist

Dr Michelle Potts is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist and the British Psychological Society (BPS). She has over 15 years’ experience of working with children and young people and adults with a range of mental health, emotional difficulties and neurodevelopmental disorders. 

With each of these client groups Michelle has carried out complex assessments, developed and delivered group and individual therapies, and provided teaching, supervision and consultation to staff. I have experience of delivering interventions including CBT, solution focused therapy and narrative therapy. Michelle has undertaken additional training in family therapy, EMDR and DBT and ran an effective DBT based groups within a CAMHS setting. Michelle is highly experienced in carrying out a range of cognitive assessment and diagnostic assessments for Autism (ADOS-2) in both the NHS and private services. She was involved in a research project comparing the effectiveness of CBT adapted treatment to counselling for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder in 2013-2014.

Michelle is also an associate of Hugh Koch Associates and undertakes medico-legal assessments mainly for Civil Courts.
